I know you’re probably wondering why you’re here.
Everyone starts a blog for a reason, right? Some talk about their mommying journey. Some do it for money. Some do it to tell people how to cook. Some do it to document a certain experience such as college or moving to a new city.
Me? I’m doing it to find freedom.
It’s literally in the title of this website.
Freedom from what exactly? I’m so glad you asked. Freedom from insecurities. Freedom from worries. Freedom from doubts. Freedom from the fear that I am not good enough. Freedom from the embarrassment of dealing with depression. Freedom from feeling that God hasn’t chosen me. Freedom from my unrealistic expectations of myself. Freedom from the uncertainty of the future.
See? We got a lot to work through here. And what better way to work through all of that than to write and share my journey with you?
Look at that title just coming together.

Writing has been a place of peace for me for a while now. Since having the opportunity to write for my church once I got home from college (hey CBC!), I realized that this is where God meets me. He sits with me when I’m writing pieces much like the ones you will read on this blog. There’s always a feeling and a time where words seem to write themselves and where paragraphs seem to just appear. This is a gift God gave me.
And because God gave me this gift, honey, here we are!
This space is so precious to me and I can’t wait to share my heart with you all. I can’t wait for you to read what God tells me to write. I have learned so much about God through writing about Him and my experiences. And I pray the same for you.
So, here on this blog, you will find a few things.
Here, you will find validation. I will never write an article about something I haven’t gone through. Some things I write about, may still be prevalent issues in my life. I know how hard it is to feel like you are going through “it” alone. You’re not. And I pray that you know that through this blog.
Here, you will find God’s words. I want Him to speak to you, not me. So, I will honestly just write what God tells me to. Every single time.
Here, you will find God’s peace. When I knew that this blog was something that I wanted and needed to do, I started to pray a few things. One was that all the readers would feel validated, loved, comforted, and at peace. Whether you are a friend who reads my blog, or someone who bumped up on it on Google, I pray that when you read anything here, you feel God’s peace with you.
Here, we’re going to talk about mental health. Yep! We are gonna get to the tough stuff. As someone who fights her own mental health battles, I know what it’s like to think you are suffering alone. So we’re going to talk about depression and how it relates to your relationship with Christ, why you shouldn’t tell someone to “just pray about it,” and how your mental health journey can shift and change.
Here, I’m going to give you guys the ins and outs of plus size fashion. I love clothes, shoes, bags, everything. So of course I wanted to incorporate that into what I’m doing here. Therefore, you will find a running gallery of clothes that I have worn recently. My sister takes my pictures in our front yard. We pray to be a little more professional soon, in Jesus name.
Finally, here you’ll find freedom. You’ll find Jesus. You’ll find out who He is in your life.
I can only pray that the words that you find in every article, draw you closer to Christ and that you start experiencing your own journey with Jesus to freedom.
